Tetnuldi Ski Resort
Tetnuldi Ski Resort is located in Upper Svaneti, in the Mestia Municipality, on the main watershed ridge of the Caucasus Mountains. The maximum altitude of the ski slopes reaches 3,160 meters above sea level, while the minimum altitude is 2,260 meters. The resort is located 15 kilometers from Mestia, and the average transfer time is about 1 hour.
Tetnuldi features the longest ski run in Transcaucasia, stretching 9.5 kilometers, and also has the largest vertical drop in the region at 1.7 kilometers. The total length of the ski slopes is approximately 30 kilometers.
At present, the resort operates 4 ski lifts manufactured by the company Poma — two open lifts and two bubble-type lifts. The resort continues to develop gradually, with plans for the installation of additional lifts in the future.
Infrastructure
Construction of Tetnuldi Ski Resort began in 2014, and the first phase was completed in 2016. The resort continues to expand step by step.
Currently, visitors can find the Tetnuldi Restaurant and several fast-food facilities at the resort. Ski equipment rental services are also available, and a free parking area has been arranged for guests.
At the moment, there is only one hotel located directly at the resort. However, due to Tetnuldi’s close proximity to Mestia, most tourists prefer staying in Mestia, where there is a much wider selection of accommodations, ranging from family guesthouses to high-class hotels.
