Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography

Founded in 1936, the museum preserves materials discovered during archaeological excavations in the Svaneti region, as well as unique examples of Georgian repoussé art and icon painting, ancient manuscripts, military equipment from the Early and Late Middle Ages, iron, silver, and copper artifacts, jewelry, household utensils, textiles, ethnographic items reflecting the traditional lifestyle of Old Svaneti, and many other historical treasures.
